Is there any chance Dynamite will get Matt Busch who did artwork on Realm's Battlestar Galactica and Richard Hatch's Galactica novels?

Yes, it would be nice if he could do more 'BATTLESTAR GALACTICA-EVE OF DESTRUCTION'. I think that was going to be a mini-series before RealmPress went under.

Jim Matt was supposed to do the Eve of Destruction for Realm's Battlestar Galactica. Matt was shocked when I e-mailed him that a publisher was going to publish new Battlestar Galactica comics. Although, at the time, I told him it was Diamond Comics. I corrected myself when I re read the article at mediablvd's message board and passed to Matt."Sorry,Matt. Big mistake. It isn't Diamond Comics. It is Dynamite Comics!" Message to Realm Battlestar Galactica Editors: GET MATT BUSCH FOR BATTLESTAR GALACTICA AND THE RIGHTS TO REALM'S BSG: EVE OF DESTRUCTION!!!

Don't some of the people from 'Realm Press - JMJ Media, LLC' work at DE/DC? Also, what about Chris Scalf? Maybe he could do a issues here and there or a cover or two.

Jim ;) I would like to see Chris Scalf for Dynamite's Battlestar Galactica re-imagined and Classic!

I was scheduled to do a Galactica Cover for Ibooks when they were doing the novels and got as far as doing the rough. It was going to be a reprint story based on the two part episode The Gun on Ice Planet Zero (though for the book it was to be called The Cylon Death Machine). Unfortunately they decided to discontinue printing the novels. I'm still hoping to get a chance to do one for Dynamite though... (Hint, hint) ;)

BTW, do you have copy of the rough that you can post? Would love to see it.

These are the two roughs I submitted. They picked the second one which was to be submitted to Universal for approval.

DavidR: Excellent sketches! I would suggest not submitting them to Dynamite Entertainment. The Classic BSG comic line will only focus on stories within the first season. (1978) They will not be doing any stories that continue past the BSG episode 'The Hand of God'. I ask this of the Dynamite Editors for Battlestar Galactica: WHOSE THE IDIOT THAT DECIDED NO CONTINUATION STORIES FOR THE CLASSIC BSG? P.S. I WITHDRAW MY SUGGESTION FOR DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT TO GET MATT BUSCH AND THE RIGHTS TO EVE OF DESTRUCTION. MATT'S TOO GOOD FOR MEDIA COMPANIES THAT HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE FANBASE!!!

I'm sorry, but you convey a "never" impression in the "Flash-Galactica Returns" thread that was frankly more than a bit disheartening to read. Especially with the suggestion that a continuation (which is the natural thing to do in a new Galactica) would only appeal to "hardcore" fans, which to me is a slap in the face to all the people who have maintained interest in the property all these years, and suggests that this project is being designed to purposefully do nothing that WOULD be appealing to those "hardcore" fans. And the only thing that is of interest to fans who have seen the original series take a pummeling for the last few years that has been bad enough, this statement of yours really doesn't help matters.
