Unsurprising, though. The Boys would be almost impossible to adapt. The thing that keeps us all reading is the slow-burn elements- Vought Guy/Gal, Hughie and his incredible Douchebaggery, the awesome moments like Frenchie/The Female at "Believe"... those things just wouldn't adapt well to 90 minutes of film. Much like Preacher, the only way to really do a decent adaptation would be an HBO Series.

Yeah! or Starz! (The Spartacus series comes to mind...) Because Starz seems to give themselves license to go further with the Blood/death and sexual stuff than HBO... Plus it would allow for "shocking events" to happen at the end of episodes... And leave you hanging for what will happen next... week/season...

Brilliant idea Kamakazi... Let's get to work and pitch the idea! You can write/rewrite and direct it and I'll cast all the female roles and split the money 60/40 with you! :rolleyes:

So much of the appeal is "inside baseball" for fans that it's still hard to imagine how to pull it off.

Could have been a great movie. But then, so would The Invisibles. The problem comes when executive producers and multinational media empires hire schmucks like "Clash of the Giant CGI-Generated Dildoes" writers Matt "I only had to pretend to be gay for an hour" Manfredi and Phil "I can't believe you fuckin' hired me" Hay and Seth "Try my Jerry Garcia Bong" Rogen, who most likely consumed a hefty $$$ advance, as well as a shitload of sushi and gourmet pizza, microbrews and Santa Cruz hydro to turn in a 120-page turd. I'm tired of seeing movies where Rogen is clearly having a much better time making the movie than I am watching it.

Maybe next time they'll hire a real writer, instead of a corral of slags with some name recognition who still haven't completely come down from the coke and Asian hooker binge they went on after making their last mediocre movie.
