There's a daily Phantom strip and a Phantom comic book as well. A Flash Gordon comic would be great if the right team did it.

SCI FI Channel has greenlit production on FLASH GORDON, based on the popular comic strip franchise. Sci-Fi aired a promo featuring their 2006 hits and a hint of what is coming in 2007. Along with a new Painkiller Jane series, The Dresden Files (TV series) and new episodes of Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series), was something simply titled Flash Gordon.


We have a sweet BSG comic,(Thanks Dynamite) with this news could a Flash Gordon comic be on the way? Hint, hint. ;)

With the new Sci-Fi series, a tie-in comic a la Battlestar Galactica, only makes perfect sense. The Sci-Fi series starts in July and I believe 22 episodes were ordered, so if a comic series were to happen it'd likely begin production after the first season wraps up (and possibly after the second season starts, assuming there is one).
