No one seems to care when this is releasing, but I would really like to know. I got VOL. 1 but now I want to read more, The boys is awesome! Don't really want to get the volumes cuz they don't contain too many issues. Plus when Is Herogasm coming out, and a volume that contains issues 31-36. Or was issues 31-36=herogasm? I need ta know! Thanks

Not sure that anyone knows the exact date Vol 2 will hit the shelves... Shipping November 2009 was the closest to a date I've found on the site..
I think since it's the "definitive edition" they want to make sure everything is done right before they release it!
Herogasm was a miniseries and has its' own trade paperback coming out soon (listed as shipping November 2009) and Herogasm issue 6 should be out soon. It was listed as shipping October 2009.
Herogasm tpb is listed as The Boys Volume 5. So, it's possible it may get put in the next Definitive Edition between issues 30 and 31..
The Boys Definitive Edition is officially on the boat from China and should be hitting stores some time in November. In fact, I have a sample copy on my desk right now. Hopefully you'll think it was worth the wait.
As for Herogasm, it was a separate miniseries. Since it had events that will be reflected in and referred to in the main series, Garth wanted it as part of the regular trades and it is being collected as "The Boys Vol. 5: Herogasm." In stores November 28th.
Oh, and don't forget that the limited edition HCs of volumes 1 and 2 are in stores Nov. 4 and 11 respectively.
and of course Boys #36 and Herogasm #6 are in stores Nov. 4.
Hope that is enough Boys for you for one month ;-)

Truthfully, I buy both the comics and the GNs. I see no reason to buy the 'definate' edition of anything. Sorry, but it's the truth.

Can't wait for Definitive Edition 2. It's nice to go back and re-read the issues, and the larger format really helps showcase the detail Darick Robertson puts into his art.
I only hope some of the niggles with binding quality have been sorted this time round. It is a little disappointing to find binding glue sticking pages together.

BAH! I gave in and bought the TPBs. It's just $75 bucks is A LOT of mulah for me right now. I didn't even know they had TPB's out vol. 3 and 4. SUCH A GOOD READ! Enjoyen this series thoroghly. Garth said he might end it at issue 70 so there's still a long bit to go.
