Question about Volumes

I recently began reading Army of Darkness (beginning with #18) and want to purchase the trades that cover the first 17 issues. After some research, I believe that I have an understanding of the order but am still a little confused. Here is my understanding of these trades:

From the Ashes includes 1-4
Long Road Home 5-8
Home Sweet Hell 9-12
Hellbillies and Deadnecks 13-17

Is this correct?
If so, how do "Ashes 2 Ashes" and "Shop Till You Drop Dead" fit in?

I think that's the proper run-down for the current series (Vol. 2). There was also a previous series (Vol. 1) that ran for 13 issues. I believe Ashes 2 Ashes and Shop Till You Drop (Dead) were the two minis before Vol. 1. In between Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 Ash was transported to the Marvel Zombies universe (Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness).

The titling and numbering of the individual issues of AOD (especially everything from From The Ashes to the one shots after Hellbillies) were a cluster**ck to say the least. "AOD: From the ashes" was numbered 1-4, but "AOD: The Long Road Home" was numbered 5-8...? why not just call them AOD 1-8 and have the story title be like any other comic book? The way they were named, it seems like they were min-series with "Long Road Home" missing numbers 1-4...
