Newsarama talks to Death-Defying 'Devil co-writer Joe Casey...

I read the article. I am more excited for the DDD & Black Terror series than the main Superpowers series. I prefer solo titles over team titles. I enjoy Joe Casey's writing & think he is a great choice for this book.

NRAMA: Finally, tease away - what gets the ball rolling in your first issue?
JC: We're pretty much picking up where the first SUPERPOWERS mini ends. Lots of action, lots of intrigue, and as the series goes on... even more classic characters will get their turn in the spotlight.
Moooore classic characters will get their turn in the spotlight...!!????
* I'm glad that THE CLAW will be coming back.!!
*What happened to Bart's girl-friend???
*Will we see 'Devil's ol' WWII pal--- Silver Streak again.???
*What happened to The Little Wise Guys????
* Will Bart visit Meatball's grave????
*What about CRIMEBUSTER and Squeeks??? :D
* Will we ever see IRONJAW again???
* Does "The Dragon" have anything to do with either Major Tarrant... or THE GHOST??? ;)

Damn the wait is killing me! I also prefer solo series to a team book, but not in all cases and I wouldn't really qualify Project Superpowers as a true "team" book. I'd say it's more of a book highlighting multiple characters than a book where they assemble as a true team. There has been a lot of talk around here of a JLA style team, but I think the character need to become established as important to the average reader first before a superteam can get over as a powerhouse force.
