Has anyone read the Marvel Run from 1979-1981 how was it. Reason asking found all the issues listed on bidville for $1 each thinking about picking them up.

The Roy Thomas/Frank Thorne books were bombastic and over the top, but it had this great fantasy edge to it, with wizards and creatures that made it a treat. If you can get them cheap, buy em. They're bound to go up, now that Sonja has a new title. Plus Thorne's work is always in demand.

The next major series, written by Tom Deflaco and art by Mary Wilshire (check out my avatar for her Sonja) from 1983-1985 was also good. But it lost the fantasy aspect and centred on Sonja having straight adventures. It also stressed her questioning her oath. I haven't finished reading it all yet. These are still pretty cheap, I found these issues in the $1, $2 bins at several conventions.

Here's a good link for Sonja stuff (http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/9078/red_sonja/entrance.html)

:)

**Quick question: Are we talking about Red Sonja or Battlestar Galactica with this thread? If it's Sonja, I'll shift the thread over to the Sonja section for you.** ;)

I'm sorry, I must have miss-read the thread.

I am such a dunce.

I keep forgetting this site has more to it than Sonja.

Dumb-ass.
