Metroid symbol?

Potentially this is a stupid question -- no, it actually almost assuredly is -- but has anyone else noticed the similarity between the Project: Superpowers symbol and the Metroid symbol?

Forgive me, it just kind of pops in my mind whenever I see the Project: Superpowers symbol. I can't help it.

Meh. Project Superpower's "S" stands for, well, "Superpowers". The Metroid one probably stands for "Samus".
